I Got a Call Asking Me to Complete a Series of Surveys on Compensation

The other day, I was contacted by a consulting firm and was asked to complete a series of compensation surveys. I had no idea what the guy was talking about, and I told him so. He explained that he wanted me to complete surveys about my benefits, how much I make, my job responsibilities, and the qualifications that got me hired. It sounded pretty easy, and since they were offering cash for completing the survey, I went ahead and took it. Afterward, I realized that I have a pretty good job! I have great benefits and I’m well paid for the work I do.
