One of traditional ‘cures’ for insomnia is drinking a glass of warm milk before bedtime. Warm milk contains high levels of Tryptophan, it gets converted into serotonin and then to melatonin (the sleep-inducing chemical), some people called it a natural sedative. Try to avoid eating too sweets product and eat more magnesium rich foods during dinner. Magnesium is a natural sleep-inducing component and is found in legumes, almonds, dark leafy vegetables, and whole grains. There are also teas available that help in curing insomnia. These herbal teas promote relaxation and induce drowsiness. You can always have a cup of tea before going to bed to get a calm good sleep. Herbal teas are becoming quite popular these days because of its medicinal values. Chamomile teas are known for its benefits. Adding a portion of chamomile inside the tea bags can be use as hot beverage or a prescription to cure insomnia. Another natural cure for insomnia, which is believed to work wonders, is to take a pinch of cinnamon and roast it until the colour turns black. Add this in water (a glassful) and boil it. Take this drink before 30 minutes you go to sleep. It is proven and professed to work well.
