When it comes to tools, every gardener has a wide array available.  But which is your favorite gardening tool?  A spading fork is important, as it is needed to open up the soil so you can plant. It resembles a pitchfork but has a short handle. The tins tend to be wider then on a pitchfork and this very much works like a claw when using it to break up hard soil. It is used to aerate soil as well as transplanting. A hoe is used for weeding and can penetrate the soil allowing for nutrient and water to spread throughout the area.
