Obedience Training Success
October 31, 2009 3:25 pm HomeI decided I was going to teach my dog how to fetch. I purchased a ball and brought it home, took her outside where the dog obedience training would begin. I threw the ball, she ran after it, I called her to me, and she ran in the opposite direction with the ball in her mouth! This went on several times, till I finally got wise. I put some treats in my hand, threw the ball, and she ran after it. I called her with my hand out and a suggestion I had something for her and she ran to me with the ball, I said the word, “Drop” when she let go of the ball, she was praised and given the reward. Success!!
