Jesus Christ Super Star

When I was little, my family rented jesus christ Super Star and the whole movie struck me as very weird. I don’t remember much about it, but I recall Jesus Christ being portrayed as a hippie, I didn’t like the songs, I remember one of them being about a woman being in love with Him, and I could hardly wait for it to be over. I’ve mentioned how much I dislike watching people pretend to be Jesus because it never seems realistic, but that one especially didn’t sit well with me. Oddly enough, I saw one movie not about Jesus and I thought, “This guy would probably play Him well.”
