Golf buddies gag gift takes strokes off my game

I have a group of eight friends that get together every Saturday morning at daybreak to play golf at a local municipal golf club here in Toledo, Ohio. Over the years I created a bit of a reputation for myself and not a good one. I was declared the worst putter of the group during one of our mock award meeting (over a few beers). My golf buddies gave me a golf putting aid as a way to tease me about my game. What they didn’t realize is that I started using the device and improved my putting by over 5 strokes a round. Who is laughing now?
